Campus Chronicles — fest recaps and live dispatches from around TIET.

Campus Chronicles: Urja 2026 Edition

"Echoes brings you Campus Chronicles: Urja Edition 2026, and what a landmark edition it was. The 10th edition of Thapar's beloved sports fest roared to life across three electrifying days, and we were right there in the thick of it, with notebooks in hand, cameras rolling, occasionally getting hit by stray volleyballs. Do you like your sports served with a side of gully nostalgia? Does the memory of chalked boundaries, improvised rules, and evening cricket under a fading sun still make you smile? Then you're in exactly the right place. This edition draws its heart from that same raw, carefree spirit, the kind that needs no scoreboard to feel something. Wrapped in a bold, comic-inspired aesthetic, we've brought you stories from the track and the court, the carnival and the closing ceremony, the nail-biting football final and the cricket match that ended in "satisfied conversations around the boundary." From Pardeep Narwal setting the tone at the opening ceremony, to Thapar lifting the Overall Championship trophy, from the first-ever shooting event to an India-Pakistan thriller watched under the stars at the Open Air Theatre, we've captured it all. With heart, humour, and a little chaos (the team is well and happy, we promise). This one's for every player who pushed through exhaustion, every supporter who screamed their lungs out, and every soul who showed up. Welcome to Urja 2026. Enjoy the ride."

Campus Chronicles: Saturnalia 2025 Edition

"Thapar’s Saturnalia was a celebration unlike any other; days alive with performances, Nukkad Natak, Sat walks, Concerts, and countless moments that brought together creativity, tradition, and community spirit. To capture this energy, we present our special Saturnalia newsletter edition. More than just a recap, it is a crafted experience: each page is adorned with traditional floral motifs, gracefully intertwined with peacock imagery, weaving elegance into every highlight, while bold event titles paired with descriptive text and images create a lively rhythm. Together, these elements-structured layout, thematic visuals, and immersive storytelling, make the newsletter both elegant and engaging, serving as a celebratory record of diverse campus activities. But don’t expect a dry report - this newsletter is designed to surprise you. It’s witty, humorous, and interactive, inviting you to smile at inside jokes, pause at playful anecdotes, and relive the festival in a way that feels fresh and fun. As you turn each page, pause to relive the festival - the performances, the events, the concerts, and the highlights. This edition is meant to be interactive in spirit, inviting you to connect your memories with the stories we’ve preserved, and maybe even chuckle along the way. Happy Reading,"
